I have a firm belief that staying relaxed or being patient and not getting over stressed about things or problems is major key to success. If a person gets all panicked and stressed over something like a college paper then their bound to make mistakes. I for example have written many college papers and while some of them have a little past their due date they where still good papers that I got good grades on even though they would have been better if I hadn’t taken my time and had rushed and gotten them in on time. I believe though that if I had rushed on my papers then I certain that I would have made mistakes that I wouldn’t have caught on my own such as spelling the teachers name wrong or writing run on sentences or simply forgetting to write down the source of a quote. All of these things would have cost me more points than turning it in late but with all spelling and grammar being proper. Staying relaxed is an important key to fishing, hunting, or something more extreme such as disarming a bomb or climbing up a cliff. I don’t know much about bombs, climbing cliffs, or hunting so I’ll talk about fishing a subject I am most familiar with. Fishing can be an extreme and demanding sport and if you don’t known how to relax and stay calm for several hours at a time then you’re not going to be able to catch the big ones. A very good example is when I and my dad go down fishing for Spoonbill every year. Now you really need some patience for these fish and a lot of endurance too because now matter what kind of bait you use these fish will not bite. Spoonbill are one of the few fish you have to snag in order to catch them and what you do is get a large pole and a heavy fishing line along with a very big hook at the end of it. In order to snag a Spoonbill you have to cast your line out into the river and just yank and reel yank and reel. I have to do this several time for many hours and this is probably one of the most frustrating forms of fishing because a person can go all night and not hook a single fish. So what you have to remember is to stay calm because getting all bent out of shape isn’t going to help and just have fun.
